The Lancaster Principal Who Went Viral

More than a decade before going viral on social media, Zac Bauermaster had a panic attack while leading a 7th-grade team meeting and passed out.

“I remember waking up and feeling so weak and exposed.”

This moment, around eleven years ago, was in the middle of a difficult season for Zac, when everything looked great on the outside, but he was struggling on the inside.

“I couldn’t eat, I couldn’t sleep. I had a rapid heartbeat, hot sweats, cold sweats.” Looking back, this was a season of anxiety and depression where he needed to reach for help. It was a low point, but one where the seeds of growth were planted. He reached out to caring people in his life. He began to journal. He began to heal.
