🌹 How Lancaster Got Its Shape

Good morning!

This week, we celebrate Charter Day by highlighting three Lancaster County museums that are offering free admission this weekend. Then, sticking with the history theme, we have a history quiz and an article about how the borders of Lancaster were formed.

Also, we've had a few people ask us about writing an article for The Lancaster Review. We are open to guest posts! Get in touch if you have something you'd like to share.

Here's what we have for you this week:

  • How Lancaster Got Its Shape
  • A history quiz
  • Three museums offering free admission for Charter Day.
  • A curated list of weekend events. And don't forget, it's First Friday in Lancaster City!

How Lancaster Got Its Shape

The map above is the first known map of Lancaster County with its present-day borders. But Lancaster County didn't always have the iconic shape that we know and love today. Read about how unruly thieves and border wars shaped Lancaster County.

Lancaster History Trivia Challenge

We put together a Lancaster history quiz, and we're betting it'll stump you at least once. Take the Lancaster Trivia Challenge and let us know how you did.
